As of March 2024, all companies are now required to provide a registered email address when they incorporate at Companies House. This is one of a number of changes being brought in under the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023.
Companies House have indicated that they will use this address to send email reminders, as well as to query information that has been submitted to the public record.
This email address is kept private, and can be changed any time via an online filing with Companies House.
Companies who are already registered will need to report their registered email address when they file their next confirmation statement. Companies will need to start submitting this on confirmation statements dated on or after 5 March 2024.
